Tripod....

The star of our virtual sketch is Jeanette's cat Tripod. I have seen Tripod sketched many a time by Jeanette so it was fun to give him a try myself.
My contour sketch was done completely by eye and my final drawing was done by getting a couple of key spots first.

Here are all the drawings, you have to go check them out. It is great fun to see all the different styles.

  2. Very good job. I really had fun doing this. I don't know how to post the links like you did or how you did that flash thing. Really neat tho. I love that fat sheep but can't tell who's blog it is. Glad you joined in.

  3. Thank you Jeanette, this was fun and Tripod is such a great model. :) It's great to see all the drawings each one is so different.

Hi Jeanne, thank you, it was fun to do.
If you want to post the links you can just copy and paste from my post. Or for future reference, say you want to reference my post, you copy the address,up in the tool bar then go back to your post, (that you are writing) highlight the name or word that you want to make clickable, then click on the little world with the chainlink on it(the editing stuff just above where you are writing) and paste the address in to the box that comes up.
You can get the flash gadget by going to Yahoo pipes and making one or you can use the one I made, I give instructions here,

Marcia is a wonderful artist. You can go to any of the artists blogs on the pipe by scrolling over top of the picture, then clicking on the title.

  6. Paulette, Tripod looks very content to be hanging out on your blog. He looks like he settled right in and got comfortable. And kudos to you for drawing him twice!

  7. Doesn't he look comfortable? It's so good to do 'eyeballing' as well.

Hi Katherine, I've been finding the contour drawing gives me the best chance to just dig in and get it on paper with out fussing over each line.
