This was a challenge on drawspace. I tried out using graphite on film to see what I think. I think I am not liking it, although I don't feel that I worked as fine and light as what I would have needed to.
I have been tagged by Sue Smith at Ancient Artist. She blogs about developing an art career after 50. When you see her art you will know that her dreams are going to come true. I am supposed to reveal 7 things about my self and then tag 7 other bloggers. Let's see how I do. 1. I have my Tool and Die papers. 2. I worked as a Machine Repair before I got laid off. 3. I have no sense of timing. So my piano playing may never get past beginner, but that is okay because I love to play anyways. 4. I like figs, despite my husband. 5. I love snow. I secretly wish for mounds of it. When I hear of places getting 7' of snow I wish it had happened here. 6. I love home shows. 7. I want to be a free runner. Never mind that I have no balance and currently do not run!
Now I am supposed to tag seven people. 1. Jan at Pets to Posies, a forum buddy and beautiful artist, maybe this will give her a kick to get going on her blog. 2. Maricello at Cello Centered, a renaissance woman if I ever met one! 3. My brother Mark at Baddawg, my truck driving comedian of a brother. 4. C Merry at TLLT, this is my favorite place to visit! You have to check it out. I guess I'll leave it at that. If I think of someone else I'll edit later.

Norbert is a Boston Terrier with attitude. My cousin fostered him until they found a good home for him. He came to our family reunion in summer '06. This ATC was done for an exchange at Let's Make Art.
I have been trying to decide why I am writing a blog. I think I want it to be a type of journal, a catalog of my interests. It's public, so I think that is the reason I went to showing just my art. Now I am thinking if the blog is going to keep my interest it will have to follow my interests. Things like art, cooking, kids, dogs, Jim and his trains and the world around me. Will this be of any interest to others? Maybe sometimes and maybe not. But it, I think, will keep my interest. My blog will be for me and anybody who is interested is welcome to read along. I hope that it will show me in the light that I have always tried to portray, that of some one who is always open to learning new things. To that end I am going to keep Becoming a Renaissance Woman as the title.
